After missing Euroleague’s Top16 Lietuvos Rytas decided to part ways with German coach Dirk Bauermann. “We want to thank him and wish him the best. He brought our team to LKL final last season, also won Euroleague’s qualification tournament, but the recent results were not so good“, said team president Gedvydas Vainauskas.
Despite a 6-2 record in VTB League, Rytas’ fate was opposite in Europe’s top league with just one win in eight games. The European season of the team will continue in Eurocup, but with an other coach, interim – at the moment – Danius Adomaitis.
