As it was expected Siena dominance in the Italian league could not be challenged, at least in the regular season. The team from Tuscany finished first in the standings (24-8) after the impressive away win against Montegranaro (113-57) with Jonas Maciulis scoring 20 points.
The main antagonist of Siena, EA7 Armani Milano also finished the regular season with a win against Biella (97-77) and got the second place in the standings.
