Once more Euroleague proved that specially this season the competition desided to take a stance against unsportsmanlike behavior by players. Guy Pnini was punished with a 13.000 euros fine for hitting Aleks Maric of Lokomotiv Kuban. It was a move that went unpunished during the flow of the game, however with the help of the video Euroleague used the new disciplinary code.
Also Fenerbahce/ Ulker was punished with a 3.000 euros fine because of objects thrown by its fans in the game against Barcelona in the 2nd gameday of Top16. After the 1st gameday Galatasaray was punished with a 1.500 euros fine for the same reason in the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiacos was punished with a 10.000 euros fine because its fans used laser pointers during the game against Fenerbahce/ Ulker.
