As it was reported by local Spanish media and by Israeli reporter David Pick on twitter Blagota Sekulic will be the addition in Fenerbahce/ Ulker’s roster before the Turkish cup Final Eight and the second round of Euroleague’s Top16. The move was confirmed by the team which released the player, Canarias Iberostas Tenerife, and 32 years old Sekulic is expected to land on Tuesday at Istanbul, despite the fact that Fener is not mentioned in the press release.
The interesting thing about this move is that Canarias let arguably the best player on its roster go, just before the Spanish Cup Final Eight, that’s way the rumored buy out price was a more than respectable 300.000 dollars. Fenerbahce needed a boost in its front line after a series of injuries.
