Fenerbahce/ Ulker started the Turkish cup final eight with a 72-66 win over Trabzonspor in the quarterfinals, however the streak of bad luck still hunts the team. Guard Kenan Sipahi was injured near the right elbow and according to the official press release of the team he is expected to miss the next 10-12 weeks.
Fenerbahce had been hit hard by injuries in its front line, already signed center Blagota Sekulic and the new question is if a player should be also added to the back court. Sipahi, despite being 19 years old, is considered one of the most talented players of his generation in Europe, and during Euroleague’s regular season he played 16,5 minutes per game, a number reduced to 5 minutes per game during the Top16.
