Panathinaikos pursuing Pooh Jeter

By Aris Barkas/ barkas@eurohoops.net

Panathinaikos wants to upgrade its back court for the rest of the season and Pooh Jeter is the prime target of the team. The American guard who has an Ukrainian passport and plays in the Chinese CBA for Shandong has been contacted by the Greens, as ebasket.gr reported and Eurohoops sources from China confirmed.

However, it will not be easy for the Greek club to get him. The player at this point is focused on getting to the play offs which start at the 19th of February. Panathinaikos can register a new player for the Euroleague until the 27 of the same month. Practically, only in the case of Shandong missing the CBA play offs, Panathinaikos will have the opportunity to sign Jeter for the rest of the season. That’s why no details of a possible deal between the two sides have been discussed yet and Panathinaikos has a very important reason to follow the play offs race of CBA.
