Dimitris Priftis has already said farewell to his players in Kolossos and he is expected to leave the island of Rhodes in order to be the technical consultant of the rookie coach of Panathinaikos, Fragkiskos Alvertis. Priftis is considered the best Greek coach in breaking down an opponent, he was a member of the Greek national team stuff for years and now he gets his deserving big break.
After all, Priftis will be mentioned as the coach of the team in the game-sheet of the Greek league games, because Alvertis doesn’t have yet a coaching diploma. He has the qualification, as a former national team member, but he has to attend the Greek coaching school, according to the league bylaws. Also the assistant of coach Pedoulakis, Sotiris Manolopoulos, who had a great input in creating the team’s defense, is expected to stay in the Green bench.
