In the upcoming game against Olympiacos, Juan Carlos Navarro of Barcelona will break the all time record for games played in Euroleague, having 253 appearances in the league and surpassing the current record holder, Theodoros Papaloukas. As it was reported by “El Mundo Deportivo”, the icon of Barca will be honored by the presence of Papaloukas himself who will travel to Spain as a special guest for this occasion.
This just one of the many records which will change hands in the near future, because of the new competition format of Euroleague. With many more games during the season, the stars from the early years of the league will soon be upstaged by the newest generations.
