After a season worth the MVP award, Andrei Kirilenko of CSKA Moscow got it. As it was officialy announced in the Euroleague Gala in Istanbul the international basketball star from Russia is the most valuable Euroleague player for this season. He is also a member of the All Euroleague team and the best defensive player of the year. Not bad at all, specially if he is celebrating on Sunday night the Euroleague title with CSKA, after the Final against Olympiacos.
The other four players of the All Euroleague first team are Dimitris Diamantidis from Panathinaikos, Vassilis Spanoulis from Olympiacos, Erazem Lorbek from Barcelona and Nenad Krstic from CSKA. That meant that the All Euroleague second team is guard oriented with Milos Teodosic from CSKA, Bo McCalebb from Siena, Juan Carlos Navarro from Barcelona, Henry Domercant from Unics Kazan and Mike Batiste from Panathinaikos.
And as you can see in this video, Andrei knows where he can learn everything he needs about European hoops…
