Just before the end of its Euroleague season, Zalgiris Kaunas announced that there’s one more change in its bench. Former player Saulius Stombergas, who had replaced Greek coach Ilias Zouros, has also been replaced by Gintaras Krapikas, also a former Zalgiris player and a former head coach of the team for some months.
Krapikas is better known for his work as an assistant coach, specially in the Lithuanian national team. It remains to be seen if he can save the season of Zalgiris, which already lost the Lithuanian cup, it’s eliminated from Euroleague play offs and its only goal left is the Lithuanian league title.
