On February he was at Malaga in order to attend “Copa Del Rei”, last week he traveled to San Antonio and met – probably accompanying their talks with some of the best available wine, as both have a soft spot for fine spirits – his good old friend Gregg Popovich and now Dusan Ivkovic is getting ready for his next challenge in Istanbul while spending his days at Belgrade.
Still, Duda is not in a hurry for his new two year project, as the head coach of Anadolu Efes. According to our sources, he was clear to the team’s management that there’s still enough time in order to create a new team.
Of course it’s a given that there will be many changes in the roster, but Ivkovic is just a spectator, having first hand information about everything that’s happening in his next team.
There’s no deal with Dario Saric, as his agent Misko Raznatovic said repeatedly, and also Eurohoops sources from Istanbul confirm. However there are talks in order to get Alexander Vezenkov from Greek club Aris. Vezenkov’s buy out is 250.000 euros and Efes is trying to negotiate an even lower price, because one of the main targets of the team is not to spend money paying players over their value like it happened in the past.
That’s why during the season they didn’t add Marc Carter, also from Greek club Panionios, because Efes decided that a 100.000 US dollars buy out was too much. Duda wants to spend wisely his resources, Efes will be extra careful in the market and that’s why every big move will be made after the conclusion of the season.
