Kostas Kaimakoglou will miss also the second leg of Eurocup final against Valencia and his absence is a big blow for Unics Kazan. The Greek forward was the man who had the mission to contain the top offensive weapon of the Spaniards, Justin Doellman.
Without Kaimakoglou on the court, Doellman torched Unics last week. Coach Trinchieri will have to find some other way to defend against the American forward and that’s the number one concern for Wednesday’s game. Unics has to win by 14 points in order to win the Eurocup and also the ticket for next season’s Euroleague. Kaimakoglou was hurt after a bad fall in the semifinals of the Russian cup against Lokomotiv Kuban, at first he was expected to be ready for the Eurocup finals, but now his teammates must found ways to cover his absence.
