The LNB regular season is over in France and Gravelines-Dunkerque, also knows as the “nouvelle vague” of French basketbal, finished it on the first place of the standings with 22 years old Andrew Albicy stealing the show

The roster recipe of Olympiacos in Euroleague is also applied in the French LNB. A team founded in 1984 with leaders in their early twenties is on top of the standings after the end of the regular season on Wednesday. The best players of Gravelines-Dunkerque are the 22 years old point guard Andrew Albicy (photo), a 2010 gold medalist winner in the U20 European Championship and already a member of the men’s French national team, and Ludovic Vaty, NBA draftee Pape Sy and Rudy Jomby, all born on 1988.

Together with little known Americans like Juby Johnson, J.R. Reynolds, J.K.Edwards and French veterans Yannick Bokolo and Cyril Akpomedah they have created a team that is knocking Euroleague’s door. On the other hand Lyon-Villerbanne, the team owned by San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker, finished just in the 12th place of the standings, the worst result in their history since 1948.

The play offs series of LNB are the following:

Gravelines (1) – Cholet (8)
Le Mans (4) – Nancy (5)
Chalon (2) – Roanne (7)
Orleans (3) – Paris Levallois (6)
