Thodoris Papaloukas returns to action! The legend of European basketball, who completed last year an illustrious 18 years career, during which he was crowned Eurobasket champion (2005) World championship silver medal winner (2006), two times Euroleague champion as a member of CSKA Moscow (2006 and 2008) and was named FIBA Europe player of the year (2006), will have the chance to teach his basketball “secrets” in his basketball camp which will be held at the Westin Resort Costa Navarino.
“Papaloukas & Friends featuring Petway”, an exciting event will take place from the 2nd until the 6th of July at Navarino Dunes Sports and Entertainment Center at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino. The Camp program will be operated at the indoor sports hall, including an official FIBA size basketball court with parquet floor and modern training facilities. The program will run in age categories from 7 to 17 years old boys and girls. Adults are welcome also upon request.

“It’s a great joy to organize such a camp and I want to thank the Westin Resort Costa Navarino for the chance to use its state of the art sports facilities. That was the reason I decided to organize a camp again. It’s something I have done regularly in the past. My love for children and the desire to teach them the joy of playing basketball is what convinced me to organize this camp”, said Thodoris Papaloukas himself who is excited for one more reason. This camp, which has the support of Olympiacos‘ highlight machine Brent Petway and will also include many great guests stars, it will be the first that will include the opportunity for adults to train their basketball skills.

«It’s an exciting idea. And it’s a very interesting project, because everyone who loves basketball will have the chance to have fun and also train in a way that will make them understand how much difficult this sport is. They will learn what players do in their everyday life and they will see first hand that some of those things are not that easy as they may think by watching only the games. What’s more important, of course, is the program for the kids from 7 to 17 years of age. With the proper coaching stuff and with children that hopefully love the sport and want to learn its secrets, we will try to teach them things that will be useful to them in the long term either in their teams, or in their schools”, added Theo.
