The press conference of Dimitris Giannakopoulos confirmed what was already known and also announced a minor change of scenery at Panathinaikos management. The owner of the team is stepping down from being also the president, however this isn’t expected to changed much.
As he said: “Because of my busy work schedule, I can’t be also the president”. Giannakopoulos also confirmed that the team is interested for Nick Calathes and Ian Vougioukas, asked Olympiacos owners Aggelopoulos brothers to apologize for the behavior towards him, saying that “I can’t be always in defense and let them attacking me”. He also thanked Fragiskos Alvertis for his help as the interim coach of the team.
