Braunschweig’s season is over in the BBL after failing to qualify in the play offs semifinals and the team wants to replace coach Sebastian Machowski. Sources from Germany confirmed to Eurohoops that one of the main candidates for the open spot is Greek coach, Kostas Flevarakis. The 43 years old Flevarakis has a 14 years experience as a head coach all over Europe.
He started his career in the junior teams of PAOK Salonika and got promoted to the first team as a head coach in 1998-99 season. He has also worked in Panellinios (Greece), Akropol (Sweden), Keravnos Nicosia (Cyprus), Makedonikos (Greece), Polpak (Polland), AEK (Greece) and the national team of Sweden. He finished the season in the bench of Ilisiakos in the 11th place of the Greek league.
