The rivarly between Fenerbahce/Ulker and Galatasaray is now touching the Turkish national team. There’s an open war in TBL finals, Zeljko Obradovic is banned from coaching his team in Game 5 and Game 6 at Galatasaray‘s home court will be played with only women and children under 12 allowed in the stands, because of their fans behavior in Game 4.

However that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim, infamous for his role in the 2011 match fixing scandal in Turkey, attacked Turkish basketball federation in a press conference, accused Galatasaray for match fixing and threaten not to send Fenerbahce/ Ulker players in the Turkish national team: “What if we not send our players to national team? Ataman is not only coach of Galatasaray. The federation wanted also to hire Obradovic, he told me so and I told him to chose. He has chosen Fenerbahce. They don’t want us to win, but we will. We’re going to be champions of the league. Everybody has to understand that. We trust our coach and team”.
