Greens for Mantzaris, Reds “don’t negotiate”

Vaggelis Mantzaris is under contract with Olympiacos and has been asked to extend his stay in Piraeus for the next three years. His current contract, which pay him 160.000 euros annually, expires next summer and includes only an NBA out clause.

However, Panathinaikos wants to make some noise and got involved in this case. The Greens called the Reds and asked for the first time in the history of the Greek basketball to buy a player from their “eternal rival”. The front office of Panathinaikos asked Olympiacos what the price for a possible buy out. Of course, Mantzaris is not for sale and the only summer question about his has to do with the possible extension of his contract.

After all, the Reds answer was “we don’t negotiate with Panathinaikos”.
