His name was mentioned as a possibility for the bench of Baskonia, however he is ready to sign with an other team from a nearby city to Vitoria. Coach Sito Alonso is expected to continue his career at Bilbao Basket with a deal for next three seasons.
According to Eurohoops sources the deal between the two sides is already done. Coach Alonso recently resigned from Gipuzkoa Basket after three seasons on the bench of the team. It was one more indication of the difficult financial situation in the club.
