Barcelona and Real Madrid qualified to the semifinals of Liga Endesa’s playoffs by winning away with 27 points difference Alicante (84-57) and Cajasol (82-55). The two teams which will have home advantage in the second round of playoffs qualified by 2-0 showing that they couldn’t be threatened by their opponents.
Instead, Caja Laboral won Bilbao (90-88) in overtime. Prigioni became the hero of his team by scoring crucial baskets in the regular and extra time. The quarterfinals will finish on Tuesday (22/5) with the third game of Valencia against Lagun Aro after the win of the Basques in the second game (86-82) in overtime.
In the semifinals Real Madrid will face Caja Laboral and Barcelona is waiting the winner of the Valencia – Lagun Aro game.
