Despite the advanced talks with Unics Kazan, Fotis Katsikaris has one more option to chose from for the next season and it’s even more tantalizing. Dogus Darussafaka, which was promoted recently in TBL and lost its coach, Orhun Ene who is a candidate to replace Dimitris Itoudis in Banvit, is interested in hiring the Greek coach.
Katsikaris’ contract with the Greek national team permits him to cooperate with a club and in Darussafaka’s case there’s no scheduling conflict between the FIBA World Cup and Euroleague’s qualifying round like in Unics’ case. Darussafaka is offering a two years deal and Katsikaris hasn’t made a decision yet.
