Mensah Bonsu out, Markovic in

Olympiacos announced the deal with Pops Mensah Bonsu, but after the player’s travel to Athens in order to get medically examined the deal is expected to be terminated, just four days after the announcement. Meanwhile Unicaja announced the signing of Stefan Markovic.

Pops Mensah Bonsu had his own share of injuries during his career, however it’s at least odd the fact that Olympiacos, a club which in the past was reluctant to sign him because of that, announced the deal without first getting the player medically examined. Now Olympiacos has to get back in the market in order to get a center and already the name of Siena’s Othello Hunter is mentioned as a potential target, a player who is also in Panathinaikos’ radar.

Meanwhile in Spain, Unicaja Malaga announced the signing of Stefan Markovic, the Eurocup all time leader in assists who played last season in Banvit.
