Langford leaving, Weems stays in CSKA

The day started with an announcement as CSKA Moscow extended the contract of Sonny Weems until the summer of 2017. However, the situation is quite different at EA7 Milan, as Keith Langford is about to leave the team and even Europe.

Weems is a key member of CSKA for the last two seasons, an All Euroleague forward and new coach Dimitris Itoudis was counting on his presence in the team’s roster. It has to be noted that his new contract doesn’t have any opt out options, not even for the NBA.

On the contrary, the top Euroleague scorer for last season, Keith Langford, is expected to leave Milan either for the NBA, or Russia. Langford has offers from the States, however the money is much, much less than the salary he can get by staying in Europe.

Also VEF Riga, after getting the spot of Levski in Euroleague’s qualifying round, announced the signing of Kevin Dillard.
