Twenty days after the start of Panathinaikos’ training camp, James Gist is still in the States. The American power forward has to solve some personal issues in his hometown and delayed again on Wednesday his departure for Greece. The Greens issued an official announcement about this issue stating that “James Gist informed us in the last minute that he didn’t solve his personal issue. Panathinaikos will estimate the situation in due time”.
Everyone who is involved in this case – Panathinaikos, coach Ivanovic and Gist – is waiting for this personal issue to be solve. Αs soon as there are good news, the player will fly to Athens. However, an ever longer delay may put his future with the team in question.
UPDATE: Panathinaikos left Greece today for the preparation tournament of Mulhouse, France, and James Gist met the team on the way to the final destination in Zurich.
