Kristaps Valters himself confirmed via twitter that just hours after the announcement of his signing with Barons Riga, he is leaving the team in order to sign with Panathinaikos. The 33 years old player was ready to help the Greens cover the absence of injured DeMarcus Nelson, who will return back to action after two months.
However the Greeks change their mind! The player will not travel to Athens after all as the team continues to search for an other guard. The Greens are also searching for a big man, after the failed medical tests of Julian Wright.
