Zaza Pachulia and Nikoloz Tskitishvili showed the way and Georgi Shermadini, Manu Markoisvili, Viktor Sanikitze followed. Duda Sanadze is the next talent from Georgia who will try to follow their footsteps.
He is 20 years old and after four years in his country’s league took the decision to make the jump and play abroad. He started playing basketball at a young age with the encouragement of his father, famous basketball player, Gia Sanadze. Two years ago he had traveled to Las Palmas after a call of Gran Canaria, but some months later left Spain because of a visa problem.
His performance in Batumi (21 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists per game) last year and in Dinamo (15.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists) this year gave him the leadership role in U20 national team of Georgia behind Tornike Shengelia.
This summer he is expected to take part in men’s Eurobasket qualification round, but until then he would probably have already signed his new contract. Several Greek teams have him on their sights and soon he is expected to leave his home to test his skills in one of the toughest leagues in Europe.
