“Olympiacos is in my blood,” said Dusan Ivkovic as the winner of Euroleague and Greek championship shortly before his departure from Piraeus for short holidays and he is going to keep his word.
He’s too high in Fenerbahce’s short list and so the new team manager, Kemal Dincer, traveled to Belgrade in order to meet him at his first attempt to agree with one of the top European coaches. “Duda” confirmed the interest from Turkey in his statements in an event in Belgrade to honor Radivoj Korac saying that “a team came and wanted to talk with me. But I declined, because it wouldn’t be fair to meet anybody and not talk about business”.
Asked then about his collaboration with Olympiacos commented that “first of all I want to talk with people from Olympiakos. But I don’t know when this will happen”.
With this move Dusan Ivkovic stopped every possible suitor for his services, by showing his intention to continue his work in Piraeus.
