Monday was a dream night for Madrid and a nightmare for Barcelona. Real beat the Catalans 85-59, has a 2-1 in the best of five Liga Endesa’s finals and after this monster game seems ready to win the title.
American sharp shooter Jaycee Carroll has 17 points, captain Felipe Reyes added 15 points and 8 rebounds and Madrid dominated the court. It was a really poor performance by Barca that was outrebounded 45-21 and had only one player scoring in double digits, C.J. Wallace with 13 points. Barcelona was frustrated, something that was more than obvious in the 34 minute when Pete Mickael punched Madrid’s forward Novica Velickovic.
In Italy, the Game 2 of the finals between defending champions Montepaschi Siena and EA7 Milano had a similar final score (86-58) with the triumph of Madrid and played out almost identically. Bo McCalebb had a big game with 21 points and 5 assists, Milano had 22 turnovers and not even one player scoring in double digits. Siena has a 2-0 lead and needs two more wins in order to retain the championship title.
