Changes are coming to Eurocup and new faces are going to be presented on the courts of the competition. Zaragoza is ready to announce the addition of Isaac Fotu and cut its ties with Giorgi Shermadini who returns to Cantu.
According to this report the forward from New Zealand is about to sign a three year contract with the team (ed: the deal was announced on Thursday 13 of November). As for Shermadini, as Chema De Lucas reported first, that’s the best possible solution after being replaced in the roster of Zaragoza before the start of the season due to injury.
Also Brose Baskets announced the addition of former Euroleague player Josh Shipp who was under trial for ten days and he will debut this week with the German team in Eurocup. On the contrary Esben Reinholt was cut from Spirou Charleroi after being banned from FIBA for two months due to a failed anti-doping control test.
Finally as “L’ Equipe” reported after ASVEL’s defeat by Gran Canaria, team owner Tony Parker decided to fire coach Pierre Vincent. The interim coach of the team will be Nordine Ghrib.
