Just before the start of the second round in Euroleague’s regular season we have one new coach and two new players signed. Unics Kazan announced the signing of Evgeni Pashutin, Bayern did the same with Bo McCalebb and Mirza Begic is Laboral Kutxa-bound.
Pashutin was the favorite to replace coach Argiris Pedoulakis, however he came really close also to a deal with Trabzonspor. In the end, the Russian national team coach decided to stay in his home country. McCalebb as expected signed a one month deal and it remains to be seen if he can change the fate of Bayern and lead the team to Top16.
In Spain, after losing Lamont Hamilton for one month due to injury, Laboral Kutxa announced the deal with Mirza Begic who can leave Olimpija Ljublana for a Euroleague team by terminating his contract. Begic (photo) was also rumored to be near Anadolu Efes, but the Turkish club offered him just a temporary contract and that wasn’t enough to lure him. And also Niznhy Novgorod released Will Daniels and added Georgian Levan Patsatsia with a temporary contract.
