Michael Gelabale, Kristaps Janicenoks and Sergerio “Teddy” Gipson are the three new addition this week in Eurocup’s roster. All three of them are well known players in Europe who are ready for their season’s Eurocup debut.
Gelabale (photo) signed on Friday for one month with Strasbourg, until the end of Eurocup’s regular season. The player was rumored to be a target for many Euroleague teams, Strasbourg was into him since the Euroleague qualifying round and in the end he decided to join the team.
Ventspils secured the services of 31 years old Kristaps Janicenoks with a three years deal. Janicenoks was for the four previous seasons a member of Ventspils arch-rival in Latvia, VEF Riga.
Szolnoki Olaj also added experience to its backcourt by signing Sergerio “Teddy” Gipson for the remainder of the season. The 34 years old guard played last season for Igokea Aleksandrovac.
