The alleged killer of Ivkovic caught

According to the biggest Turkish newspaper “Hurriyet” the alleged killer of Marko Ivkovic has been arrested. Contrary to initial statements by Turkish police, the suspect is citizen of the Republic of Turkey and Galatasaray fan.

Istanbul police after examined the crime scene and video footage from security cameras, detained in total five suspects. In their statements they gave informations about the alleged killer, who is already taken into custody. Because of last Friday’s incident every Eurocup and Euroleague game will start with a moment of silence in the memory of Marko Ivkovic while Jordi Bertomeu, President and CEO of Euroleague Basketball, Murat Ozyer, Basketball Branch Coordinator of Galatasaray Sports Club and Davor Ristovic, General Manager of Crvena Zvezda issued this joint statement about the tragic incident.
