PAOK’s captain injured and extended

PAOK’s captain Kostas Charalampidis was injured in his knee during the Eurocup game against Zielona Gora, he will miss three to four months, but as the club announced his contract is already extended for the 2015-16 season.

The 38 year old guard has suffered a total rupture of the patellar tendon and he will undergo reconstructive knee surgery on Friday. The club wanted to support him and did it with action, by exercising the extension option of his contract. As PAOK announced: “All the team members were in support of our team captain since the first moment of his injury and we all wish him strength so that he overcomes this obstacle and returns even stronger”.
