In the most crucial stage of the regular season, Niznhy Novgorod suffered a huge blow. One of the leaders of the team, point guard Taylor Rochestie, will be sidelined for three weeks due to an abdominal injury.
Rochestie got hurt during the Euroleague game against Real Madrid, he will be out of action until the end of the regular season and will not be able to help his team fight for a Top16 spot.
Also in Group A, Zalgiris announced the addition of point guard Will Cherry with a contract until the end of the season. The team has also advanced negotiations with Donnie McGrath who is going to be a free agent after the 20th of December from Efes, but in the end Cherry was the chosen one.
