Obradovic left Panathinaikos but there are other pieces from the team’s past coming back to Athens. Nothing is signed yet, but free agent Drew Nicholas after his unsuccessful pass from Milan will return to Greece.
The Greens don’t have a coach yet, but Dimitris Giannakopoulos, the member of Giannakopoulos family that will lead the front office from now on, bets him money in a sure card. Nicholas left the team last summer due to financial reasons, but now with only two players under contract, Dimitris Diamantidis and Romein Sato, Panathinaikos has the flexibility to re-sign him.
The deal is expected to be finalized the following days and the interest was first reported by Greek newspaper “Prasini”, owned also by Dimitris Giannakopoulos. Nicholas left EA7 Milano on the 21st of February, after a very poor season and he is on… vacations since then.
However the first official signing for Panathinaikos is 17 years old Viktor Ieronimidis (2,00 m.) from Cyprus, who is considered an impressive talent.
