Olympiacos‘ first summer signing will be Kostas Sloukas. The Greek guard who is an important part of the team core will be wearing Red and White for the next three seasons. There is an agreement in place and on Wednesday the contract will be signed.
Sloukas had a rocky start last season, with limited game time, because coach Dusan Ivkovic wanted from him to be a better defender. When that happened, everything changed. However his best highlight of the season came from offense and it was the incredible three point shot against Galatasaray.
He will be paid 200.000 euros per season plus goal bonuses, not a bad contract considering the economic situation in Greece. There were rumors about him being the target of Panathinaikos and of Brose Baskets, but after all he will stay in Piraeus.
