Maccabi Tel Aviv is ready to add a boost in its front line by signing Marcus Slaughter. To be exact the deal is already done and the player may be officially announced as the new member of the Euroleague champs tonight.
At least that’s what Sport5.co.il is reporting with Maccabi having reached an agreement with Slaughter’s current team, Real Madrid, according to the post. It was evident that Slaughter was the odd man out from Real Madrid‘s roster after the addition of Gustavo Ayon, he is practically not a part of the team since the start of the season, however his contract was extended during the summer. Slaughter will get the roster spot of Aleks Maric in Maccabi’s roster, as his temporary contract with the team is expiring soon.
Coach Guy Goodes of Maccabi TLV quoted after the game vs Cedevita and the road win: “We are in talks with Marcus Slaughter but the deal is not finalized yet. He is gaining also interest from another team”.
