Zoran Erceg missed the big do or die Euroleague game against Olympiacos due to injury and his future with the team is still questionable, despite the fact that his team got the ticket to Top16. Not because of his condition, but because he can be the second Galatasaray player after Aldemir who leaves for the NBA.
The financial woes of the Turkish club created many issues and also many rumors emerged during the past weeks about Erceg being a target of Euroleague teams, however according to Eurohoops sources the real danger for Galatasaray comes from the other side of the Atlantic. The performances of Erceg in Eurolegue didn’t go unnoticed and there’s interest about his services from NBA teams. On the 15th of December Galatasaray gave him some of the money which was owned to him from past salaries, however he is not yet fully paid and his case may end being quite similar with Aldemir.
Still at this point there’s an important difference, as Erceg’s side doesn’t have yet a concrete offer on the table from the NBA.
