Nikola Mirotic had his best game yet in the NBA, proving once and for all that he can shoot and Alexey Shved is leaving the Sixers for the Houston Rockets where he will team up with a former Euroleague opponent, Kostas Papanikolaou.
Playing on the road against Memphis, Mirotic scored 27 points on 6/6 threes. The Bulls got the 103-97 win and the former player of Real Madrid was the key for the win against Marc Gasol’s team.
As for Shved, he is part of a three way trade reported by Adrian Wojnarowski which sends the Russian guard and Corey Brewer to Houston. Troy Daniels and two future second round picks will end up in Minnesota and the Sixers will get a second round pick and Frenchman Ronny Turiaf, whose season is already over after an arthroscopic surgery on his right hip.
Also the Pelicans waived Israeli guard Gal Mekel, however they don’t exclude the possibility of resigning him, when he clears waivers.
