According to Engin Ozerhun, this Friday could be a very important day. Anadolu Efes is waiting the answer of Zeljiko Obradovic, but nobody can be absolutely sure not just if it’s negative, but if it’s given yet. We tried to reach the boss of Efes and he didn’t want to answer our calls, taking a rain check for Saturday.
There are, however, informations about Obradovic’s opinion for Efes’ roster. Almost the entire team has contracts for next season, meaning that he can’t change many things without the team compensating the players he would like to see in the exit door, something that would raise the budget over the roof.
For sure Obradovic has the option to rest for one season and return to basketball after the summer of 2013, if there is a project that he likes. This scenario is more than possible, because he really wanted to stay in Athens in his own terms of course, but Efes can still hope, at least for a little more.
At least the coaching carousel in Europe seems to be in its final turns, with Galatasaray announcing officially the hiring of Ergin Ataman, Luca Banchi on the bench of Siena, Aco Petrovic at Unics Kazan after Jonas Kazlauskas denying the position and Erman Kunter leaving Cholet in order to be the coach of Besiktas.
