Who said that Pau Gasol is not the player he used to be? The Spanish legend had a career-high 46 points to go along with 18 rebounds in the home 95-87 win of the Chicago Bulls over the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring almost half the points of his team.
Gasol was 17 for 30 from the field and 12 for 13 at the line in his 20th double-double of the season. He became the first player to record at least 46 points and 18 rebounds for Chicago since Michael Jordan had 69 points and 18 rebounds in a 117-113 overtime victory at Cleveland on March 28, 1990. As he said: “You start making your first couple of shots, your teammates start looking for you, and I was able to find good spots and get in rhythm”.
