Mirza Teletovic was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolus (multiple blood clots in the lungs) and will miss the rest of the season. The Bosnian forward of Nets will remain hospitalized.
Mirza Teletovic was taken to a local Los Angeles hospital after experiencing shortness of breath during the game vs the Clippers and diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolus (multiple blood clots in the lungs). He will remain hospitalized to undergo further diagnostic testing and to begin treatment. Due to the nature of blood thinners, Teletovic will be unable to play for the remainder of the season.
UPDATE: Five days later, on Wednesday 28th of the month, Mirza Teletovic was released from the hospital and as Brooklyn Nets Team Physician Dr. Michael Farber said: “I expect Mirza to make a full recovery.”
