Last32 second round: new faces

The second round of Eurocup’s Last32 is about to start and here are the last transactions of the season for the teams which are playing in the competition. The transfer window is now closed and no other moves are permitted.

Banvit Bandirma has reinforced its backcourt by signing a former Eurocup champion, guard Jimmy Baron who played for Lokomotiv Kuban, but comes from Spanish club Fuenlabrada. Unics Kazan announced the addition of power forward Rolands Freimanis until the end of the season. Freimanis arrives from Kalev Cramo and he fills in for Viktor Sanikidze, who is expected from 6 to 8 weeks of action due to an injury.

Nancy reached an agreement with 35 years old small forward Karim Souchu for the remainder of the season, Rome added size by signing center Ndudi Ebi, Besiktas upgraded its backcourt with the signing of point guard Scottie Reynolds, who arrives from Russian club Krasnye Krylya and CSU Asesoft Ploiesti has added all-around Serbian prospect Stefan Pot. Also Red October added Doron Perkins who recently left Laboral Kutxa.

Meanwhile Baloncesto Seville reached an agreement with head coach Scott Roth to terminate his contract, signed veteran shooter Kirk Penney and Porfi Fisac is expected to be the new head coach of the team. Cedevita will have to fight for the play offs without injured captain Roko Ukic who suffered a fracture on his right hand’s little finger and will miss between three and four weeks.
