Joffrey Lauvergne was released by Khimki yesterday, his next stop will be the NBA and Denver is trying to lock him under a three years deal. According to Eurohoops sources, the multiyear offer of the NBA franshise to the French forward/ center is a two years contract with a team option for a third.
The two sides are expected to agree to terms soon, however there’s also a possibility for a sign and trade of the player. According to the same sources, Lauvergne left Khimki not only because of the NBA interest, but also because his relationship with the coach of the team, Lithuanian legend Rimas Kurtinaitis, wasn’t smooth.
