The successor of Vasilis Fragias has been found and it is a matter of Thanasis Papahatzis to accept Greek club Kolossos’ offer in order to get the job. The former assistant of coach Boza Maljkovic traveled to Rhodes on Monday and had 2 meetings with the management of Kolossos. Between the sides there is an economical gap but in the following days, probably it will be “bridged” and Papahatzis will sign his first contract as a head coach in Greek league.

Two days after being officially hired by Euroleague champions Olympiacos, George Bartzokas thanked his former team through an official statement, but also by paying a visit to his old “home”. The 47year old coach paid a visit on Tuesday afternoon to the gym of Nea Smyrni to say “goodbye” to his former players (who continue to practice daily) and also to the management stuff.

The same is gonna happen with his assistant (in Olimpia Larissa and in Panionios) Christos Pappas who’s gonna follow him in Olympiacos. Pappas returns to Olympiacos as he was an assistant of the “reds” next to Lefteris Subotic from 2002 until the middle of the season 2003-04.
