It’s not a secret that Siena wants to get rid of all its big contracts and David Andersen is ready to go elsewhere. A lot of reports were putting him in Fenerbahce/ Ulker’s roster next season, together with his Siena teammate Bo McCalebb. However, as he said himself to “Gazzetta Dello Sport” basketball editor Luca Chiabotti just after the game of Australia against Brazil: “I will decide where I will play next season after London. My agent is negotiating also with Real Madrid”.

Andersen has been a player of Real arch-rival Barcelona, which through an official press release asks from point guard Victor Sada to start again negotiating for his new contract with the team, The two sides have publicly debate about the issue, with Sada feeling that he gets an unfair offer.

In Slovenia, the FIBA transfer ban is lifted for Olimpija Ljubliana and the team is preparing for next season by signing American point guard Dominic Waters. According to Serbian journalist Djordje Matic, the team is also very close in finalizing the deal with Australian forward Aron Baynes and guard Teemu Rannikko from Finland.
