Nikola Mirotic continues his impressive explosion in the second half of the season, making a case for himself as a contender for the rookie of the year award. Bulls‘ forward scored 14 of his total 28 points in the last quarter of Chicago’s win over Charlotte (98-86) which secured a playoff spot for his team.
However the important detail is the 14 last quarter points. According to ESPN that makes him the best “closer” in the league, as he is averaging more fourth period points than any other player. As it seems the favorite to win the rookie of the year award, Andrew Wiggins of Minessota, has to face a real challenger.
