Vincent Collet will stay on the bench of Strasbourg until the summer of 2016 as it was officially announced. The head coach who is also in charge of the French national team, is also the head coach of SIG since 2011.
Collet led the French national team in Eurobasket gold back in 2013 and also in the bronze medal of the last FIBA World Cup. Euroleague powerhouse Olympiacos flirted with the idea of hiring him and his name was also linked with ASVEL, as the team is owned by France’s biggest basketball star, Tony Parker. However Collet decided to stay in Strasbourg.
