They are twins, look similar to everything, started to play basketball together and now came the moment to play together in the same team the last seasons of their careers. Lavrinovic brothers started to play professional basketball in the age of 17 in Alita Alytus in 1996. Ksystof made first the lap in 2002 by signing with Ural Great. Darius left Alytus the next season, but went to Zalgiris.
They used to play one-on-one and in Lithuanian national team, but their paths met again in Unics Kazan in season 2006-07. After six years they will spend the season together in Zalgiris, in their last probably team before their retirement because after Darius, Joan Plaza will have also Ksystof in the roster.
Ksystof Lavrinovic’s gap in Siena’s roster will cover Benjamin Eze, who signed two years contract. The Nigerian center is coming back to Siena after two years, but the previous season in Milano he hasn’t played at all.
A great transfer made also Bamberg announcing the addition of AJ Ogilvy from Valencia. Unics Kazan signed the experienced guard Mire Chatman and renewed Kelly McCarty’s contract.
