Panathinaikos’ new bid for Amundson

Panathinaikos still has open spots in its roster and the Greens want to make headlines with the signing of a big man. That’s why they are trying to lure an NBA free agent to Athens, with Louis Amundson getting a second offer from the team, after rejecting the first that he had from the Greek team.

However, Panathinaikos is leaving no stone unturned. As it was confirmed by hoopshype, Anthony Tolliver is also a target, there have been rumors about Ben Wallace and now about Kenyon Martin, a scenario that seems far fetched due to economic reasons. In the meantime, there isn’t any official information about the possible signing of Chinese prospect Guo Ailun by the team, a move considered a lock by the Greens some days ago.

One other player who was linked to Panathinaikos, former Fenerbahce forward James Gist, was officially announced by Spanish club Unicaja Malaga, as it was expected, and also Turkish club Besiktas signed former NBA player Damir Markota. All three teams will participate in Euroleague next season.
